Lakita Lodge is a Northern sanctuary in Swedish Lapland, set in a breath-taking landscape of forest, snow and silence, offering all-inclusive stays. With only two suites, every stay is highly personal and exclusive. Days unfold through privately guided adventures, warm hospitality, quiet moments by the fire, and the rare feeling of being immersed in a landscape so vast it feels yours alone.

Tailored Adventures in the Northern Wild

Together, we shape your Lapland journey around your preferences. Our guided outdoor adventures are all operated internally, and privately led for your party alone, with the route and pace adapted to your own appetite for adventure. Along the way, nature may offer its quiet wonders: animal tracks in the snow or a sudden encounter with wildlife. Back at the lodge, shared moments — evening drinks, convivial dinners and, sometimes, aurora outings beneath the northern sky — create a warm rhythm at the end of the day.

With the dogs

Dog Sledding

Feel the power, silence and rhythm of travelling through winter with your own team of champion huskies.

A signature Lakita Lodge experience, dog sledding begins with a gentle introduction to the dogs, the sled and the art of mushing. You may choose to drive your own sled or ride with the guide, allowing the experience to feel as active or as contemplative as you wish. Guided by our own remarkable huskies, you move through forests, frozen lakes and open snow, carried by the energy of dogs who live for the trail, and may be lucky enough to see a majestic moose cross your path.

  • Privately guided with our own huskies
  • Drive your own sled or ride with the guide (young children ride in the guide’s sled)
  • Through forest, snow and frozen landscapes
  • Champion Siberian huskies
  • Shaped around your comfort and sense of adventure

Snowmobile Adventure

A powerful way to reach the vast open spaces of the North.

Set out by snowmobile across frozen lakes, forest trails and wide winter landscapes. The route and rhythm are tailored to your comfort, curiosity and sense of adventure — from a gentle scenic ride to a more exhilarating journey into the open North. Along the way, the landscape may reveal quiet encounters with wildlife, from moose and reindeer to the tracks and traces of animals moving through the snow.

  • One snowmobile per adult
  • Forest trails, frozen lakes and open terrain, with the chance to spot wildlife
  • Tailored around your comfort and sense of adventure
Northern Lights aurora borealis over Swedish Lapland wilderness
Under the Aurora

Admire the Northern Lights

When the sky comes alive, we head out for a magical spectacle.

When the auroras appear, we head out to admire the northern lights unfold beneath a vast, star-filled northern sky. Nature decides if and when the spectacle reveals itself — but when it does, we make sure you experience it to the fullest.

  • A quiet, contemplative moment beneath the northern sky
  • Dependent on solar activity and weather conditions
  • Never guaranteed, but always unforgettable when they appear
  • Best viewed from late September to early April
  • Aurora outings may be shared with other Lakita guests

On Frozen Lakes

Ice Fishing

A quiet winter ritual of fire, ice and frozen silence.

On a frozen lake, a hole is drilled through the ice, the fire is lit, and the silence of the North settles around you. Simple, traditional and deeply atmospheric, ice fishing offers a slow and beautiful way to connect with the northern winter — with the added thrill that, if perch or pike are caught, they may become part of dinner that very same evening.

  • Traditional ice fishing on a frozen lake
  • A quiet moment with fire, warm drinks and winter silence
  • Chance to catch perch or pike, depending on conditions
  • A fresh catch may become part of dinner the same evening

Into the Silent Forest

Snowshoe Adventure

Step quietly into the winter forest, where every track tells a story.

Snowshoes allow you to move gently through deep snow and discover the hidden life of the boreal forest: snow-covered trees, animal tracks and the deep silence of winter. With a little luck, the landscape may also offer beautiful wildlife encounters. It is immersive, grounding and ideal for noticing the details of the North.

  • Animal tracks, snow-covered trees and winter silence
  • A quiet way to enter the boreal forest
  • Ideal for slowing down and noticing the North
